Forevermark, a subsidiary of De Beers Group, is renowned for its outstanding diamonds. In the dynamic landscape of luxury jewellery, the merger of De Beers and Forevermark marked a significant milestone. As the person in charge of UX strategy and UI design, my goal was to transform their e-commerce platform and create an immersive online destination that combines the brilliance of diamonds with the sophistication of user-centric design.
UX strategy
The goal of the UX strategy was to create a user-friendly platform that allows for easy purchases and resolves issues with the current website structure. The sitemap emphasised a simplified purchase and registration path, promoting informed, inspired, and excited engagement before conversion. We aimed to integrate sales seamlessly into the user experience while balancing product push with brand information and lifestyle inspiration. My main focus was to realign the information architecture, simplify the path to purchase and registration and implement a mobile-first approach and modules. I optimised content visibility through promo block mapping, ensuring that important areas were easily accessible.
The results
After gaining deeper insights into the desired journeys of Forevermark customers, I strategically applied enhancements to the sitemap and information architecture. Implementing refined navigation and filtering systems, I aimed to streamline user journeys and ensure easy access to relevant content.
